THE WEATHER
(Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, March 14. The weather report and forecast arc a> /follows:—General situation; At anti-cyclone covers New Zealand and the Tasman -Sea. A tropical cyclone has been located to-day to the southwest of the Tonga Group. Forecast: Winds light to moderate and variable; southerly winds prevailing from Canterbury northwards, ami freshening in northern and eastern portions of the North Island, northerly winds south of Canterbury. Seas (N.Z. waters). — Smooth to moderate generally, bin h, considerable swell is probable on the East Coast, north of Kaikoura. Eastern Tasman Sea: Light variable winds, and smooth to moderate sens. Weather: Fair to fine generally, bur some isolated showers in the Auckland province. Cool night, but warm day, temperatures.
