The weather report and forecast are as follows:—General situation: Yesterday's depression has now passed eastward but the pressure is still rather low from New Zealand across the North Tasman Sea 1o the Queens land coast. Forecast; Winds variable, with light to moderate northerlies prevailing over the North Island, and southeriles over the South Island, which gradually are becoming general, and later freshening somewhat. Seas (N.Z. waters): Smooth to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Light to moderate south to south-east winds, and smooth to moderate seas. Weather: Fair to cloudy; showers in the southern district, and extending along the East Coast of the South Island. Scattered showers also in other parts, with some thunderstorms.
