Kokiri in their second innings scored 86 for the loss of four wickets and declared. Blewman 34, Webber 16, and McKenzie 28 not out being the chief scorers. Te Kings in their second strike hit up 63, Bell 10. Hodgkinson 10, and H. Delore 17, being the only ones to reach double figures. Pope with four wickets for seven runs did most*of the damage. KOTUKU DEFEAT BELL HILL Playing for the Do-well Shield, Kotuku defeated Bell Hi’ll after a very exciting finish by the small mar-
gin of 14 runs. Bell Hill declared in the second 'innings with six wickets down, leaving Kotuku 62 runs to get. Bell Hill batted first, making 86, of which Tom Minncitti scored 44 and Barlow 13. Bowling for Kotuku. Spencer secured four wickets and Wilson two. Kotuku in their first (innings, made 106, O’Brien 10, Warren 30, Wilson 25 and Knipe 13, reached double figures. Calder was the most dangerous bowler securing six of the wickets for Bell Hill. Bell Hill, in the sedond innings, declared with six' wtickets down for 86, of which Calder hit up 53 a t nd C. Campbell 18. Warren, O’Brien and Spencer each obtained two wickets for Kotuku. With! 45 minutes to go, Kotuku in the. innings had to get 62 to win. O'Brien 13, F. Rowse 19 and W. Lucas 11, batted best, just passing Bell Will’s total a few minutes before time. Calder took six wickets and T. Minnotti four in the bowling for Bell Hill.
