SPORT IN FRANCE
GOOD STATE GRANT. PARIS, November 4. The, French Government vote of £240,000 for French national sports development represents the biggest windfall sport has ever received from a Government. M. Laval explained that most of the money would be applied to the provision of sports grounds throughout the country. The Cabinet already includes an Under-Secretary of Physical Education. whose duty is the encouragement of sports of all kinds.
