BOXING

SHARKEY V. CARNERA Training Completed (Aus. & N.Z. Cable Assn.) (Received October 11 at 7.15 p.m.) NEW YORK, October 10. Camera and Sharkey completed their training to-day in their rural retreats, at a considerable distance from the city. Sharkey is still handicapped, to some extent, by a hand injury, but during his workouts last week, he indicated his determination to prepare himself as best he could for the contest, in which he said: “I expect to put an end to all of my disappointments. ’ ’ Camera has not been impressive in his training, and, despite his sixty pounds advantage, he will probably have the betting odds against him when he enters the ring. The New York State Boxing Commission will probably recognise the winner as the American champion. SYDNEY BOUT. SYDNEY. October 11. At the Stadium, White (flyweight champion of Australia) drew with Leonard (a Newtonite) who fouled three times, but was treated leniently by the referee.
