MP’s. INVITED TO INSPECTION(Per Press Association). BLENHEIM. September 24. O n behalf of citizens and settlers of Marlborough, telegrams are being sent to-day, to all members of tne House iof Representatives, inviting them as guests of the Marlborough Progress League, to inspect tut rou,te and progress of the South Main Truffik, Railway on Wednesday and Thursday next. It it intended that those accepting tho invitatio n should proceed from Christchiurch to Parnassus by trrAin on Wednesday morning. At Parnassus, cars will be awaiting t.hepi, and will convey them over the route as far as Kaikoura, where the night will be spent. On Thursday the country from Kaikoura to Picton wil] be covered and members will catch the Tamahine, arriving at Wellington at 6 p.m v on Thursday, in ample time for the resumption of the Pain! lament ary session on the following day. The province hopes that there will be a large acceptance, and particularly that those meynbensf, who do not know the country or the advanced state of the railway construction will take the opportunity to familiarise themselves with it.
