(Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, September 13. Dr. Kidson’s weather report and forecast are as follows: —General situation: An extensive depression from the Tasman Sea is moving on to the Dominion. It has apparently developed a cyclonic form, and the centre ig located to-day west of Farewell Spit. A series of depressions of the westerly type extends along the south coast of Australia, and over the southern Tasman. Winds moderate to strong, north-east to north, and reaching gale force in places, but changing temporarily to southerly soon from Cook Strait southwards. Seas (N.Z. waters): Becoming rough generally. Eastern Tasman Sea: Strong north to west winds to gales, with rough to heavy seas. Weather: Unsettled, cloudy and misty, wi h fairly general rain, and some heavy falls, more especially in western districts.
