(Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, August 10. Dr Kid sou’s weather report and forecast are as follows:—General situation: An anticyclone covers New Zealand, but pressure is again commencing to fall in the south i:i front of a series of westerly depressions, extending, in southern latitudes, from the Australian Bight to the Tasman Sea. Forecast: Westerly winds prevailing at first, but veering later to northerlie? in and . south of Coqk Strait; moderate mainly, but strong about Foveaux Strait. Seas (N.Z. waters) rough in Foveaux Strait; elsewhere smooth to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: West to north-west' winds prevailing, strong in the southern portion, with rough seas; light to moderate elsewhere, with smooth seas. Weather: Some showers about Foveaux Strait, and later extending along parts of the-West Coast of the South Island; otherwise fine, with moderate tempera tu res.
