I Master James Sara, son of Mr and Mrs. F. Sara, of Black’s Point, who i has been at Christchurch for some | weeks, returned on Saturday evening, ;considerably improved in health. Tic, ! is now able to get about on crutches. | A horse, straying on the Buller , Road on Friday night, was struck by I a motor lorry and had both hind legs I broken. The animal was subsequently destroyed. The Golde n Coast Co-operative Dairy Company has been advised that they have again been successful with their butter exhibits at the Canterbury W ! n j ter Show. They had three exhibits, two ii| the export classes and one ol ' butter in pats. They secured two first prizes in the export section, and a I second for the pat butter. The Company are to be congratulated on the success that has attended their exhibits, which is a sure sign that the quality is good. Yesterday’s Rugby football results here were:—Junior Championship: Waratah 14, beat Ikamatua 6; Waiuta 10, beat Kiwi .6. In the Senior Championship, Cronadun drew with Reefton, each side scoring three points. The senior game proved a great contest, being fast from the s’art, and fiercely contested throughout. The game was played in a n excellent spirit. For Reefton Hepburn kicked a penalty goal, and O’Malley scored a try, which was not converted, for Cronadun. Messrs T. H. Lee, and E. V. Jones, who have been on a visit to Wellington and Christchurch, returned 'o Reefton on Saturday evening.
