AMUSEMENTS
BLAKETOWN DANCE. The weekly oldtime dance held in Blaketown Hall last night, was a great success, when seventy couples danced to the best of music supplied by Reg. McDonald. In fho waltzing competition. 12 couples took part, the winners being Mr J. Williams and Mrs Lee; Mr R. Harvey and Mrs Hillman. Tho sixth and last hea\ will be held next Monday night, also the final when a record crowd is expected. The following have qualified:—Mr Innis and Miss Harrr.gton, Mr Hillman and Mrs P. Smith, Mr and Mrs Hannam, Mr and Miss McHugh. Mr Dimond and Mrs T. Condon, Mr Hepburn and Miss Cressy, Mr T. McGrath and Miss Warwick, Mr Williams and Mrs Lee, Mr Harvey and Mrs Hillman, Mr Reid and Miss Watson. There are two more couples to qualify. Mr Coakley will act as judge. Two valuable prizes havo been bought, and they are on view ia Mr Stent’s, jeweller, Albert Street.
