The weather was beautifully fine, and splendid perform- ! ances were witnessed in the two ‘ events decided. After that, they followed a track broken by a guide, who had half an hour's s A art. The championship) was won by Dr. Wood, of the Victoria Ski Club, in one 1 hour six ’ minutes. R. O. Page, of Wellington, was secj ord, he being two seconds behind the | winner. I C. H. Williams, of Christchurch, was I .third in one hour ten minutes. I E .C. Ferrier, of Christchurch, led I for three miles. Then Page went to I the front, and remained there for four I miles. Dr. Wood and R. C.
