FREEZING WORKS AWARD. EMPLOYERS -SEEK CHANGE. WELLINGTON, Tune 25. Amendments to the award and revised wages arc being .ought by the freezing companies of the Dominion, before Conciliation Commissioner llalh v. The workers Ihia/vc filed claims for improved conditions and increased wages. The proceedings are in com mittee, but Mr Halley stated that, as the result of two days’ deliberations, a good deal of progress has been made ou the lines of the existing award, and it was expected that an agreement would be reached on points other than wagest.
