CITY INCREASES. WELLINGTON, June 14. Estimates of the population of the cities and principal towns of the Dqminion as a.t April 30 last, show that Wellington, is now making the greatest progress of the four centres. Compared with last year, the population of Auckland has increased by 3630 persons, Wellington by 4490, Christchurch by 1270, and Dunedin by 1086. The comparative figures are as follows:—
