MISS COOPER’S FLAT
INTRUDER CHARGED. SAYS SHE OWED HIM MONEY. (Per Press Association). AUCKLAND, June 12. A matt was arrested last evening on a charge of breaking and entering the dwelling of Fay Cooper, and stealing furniture, bedding and clothing of a total value of £75. He is Charles Henry Frederick Pillow, aged 22 years, a motor mechanic. He appeared in the Police Court today. Detective-Sergeant Kelly obtained a remand. In asking fo r bail, Pillow said that he did not break and enter the flat. “Anyway, she owed me a debt of £lo,’’ said the accused. “As soon as I saw in the paper yesterday that it was reported as a burglary, I went straight and saw a solicitor about it.’’ thinks one may go i n off the Wreet and take other people’s pro|^Py. ’’ | Bail at JoO was allowed.
