Government Candidate (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 9. The Government has decided to contest the Hauraki scat. The selection of "ts candidate will be announced by the Auckland Provincial Executive of the United Party NOW FOUR CANDIDATES. AUCKLAND. May 9. After the United Party delegates held their conference it was announced that the United Party’s candidate for the Hauraki seat will be Afr Ebenezer Allan. This makes fou» candidates, the others being:—Air Petrie (Labour), Mr Afassey (Reform), and Mr Ross (Country Party).
