} On January 1. 1929, at lhe beginning lof the Five-Year Plan 7 there were still I 1,468,000 unemployed in the Soviet I Union. i On January 1, 1930, after the sue-; cessful carrying through of the first ' ' year of the Five-Year Plan, there were only 950,000 unemployed, and on January 1, 1931, after the successful carrying through of the seco-nd year of the-Five-Year Plan, UNEMPLOYMENT IN THE SOVIET UNION HAS BEEN COMPLETELY ABOLISHED.
