W AIR ARAP A’S EFFORT (Per Press Association.) MASTERTON, April 30. Donations to the Earthquake Relief Fund in Masterton totals £3.327. Though, the d sbursements include £lOO sent in cash to the Mayor of Hastings. and £l2l spent on foodstuffs and goods sent to the stricken area in the early days of the disaster!, they total only £263. Generous donations in kind were made by tradespeople and the public of town and country districts fc-r the local re'ief of refugees, of whom 290 were- on the ration stiiength of the local food depot. Approximately 600 refugees were temporarily tesident in Masterton. The ciedit balance of £3,064 has been paid into the Prime Minister’s fund.
