WELLINGTON, April 29. Dr. Kidson’s weather report and forecast arc as follows:— General situation: An anti-cyclone hag been moving gradually across New Zealand; its centre to-day having been located east of East Cape. A depression is centred over the northern Tasman Sea, and is advancing in this direction. Forecast Northerly winds, strong to gale force in far north; elsewhere moderate, but freshening. Seas (N.Z. waters), smooth to moderate generally, but rising north of East Cape, and lat-’r on the West Coast. Tasman Sea: Strong northerly winds in the eastern Tasman, of gale force in the northern portion. Seas rough in the northern portion, elsewhere moderate*, but later rising Weather dull and misty generally, with fog in places. Rain will be extending from the North and West over the whole Dominion during the next 24 hours. Mild temn 'ratures.
