few ENGLISH SELECTORS. LONDON. April 28. The Board of Control appointed P. F. Warner, P. A. Perrin, and T. A. Iligson, as AFaryhbone’s sub-commit-tee. to select England’s test match teams. They will act for two years instead of one year. They may co-opt two professionals, one from the north and one from the south, to assist in the choice of teams, the first duty being to choose England’s’ side against New Zealand at Lord’s on June 27. No committee man may contribute to the press. (Reed. April 29 at 9 p.m.) LONDON. April 28. The Daily Herald says: Though the new selectors are older than the previous committee, it is expected that Mr Warner’s Committee will go all out for younger players with more initiative. The choice of Air TTigson, who is the treasurer of the Lancashire Club, will be hailed with enthusiasm in the north. The Daily Telegraph expresses the opinion that Mr Warner will make a good chairman, but says it is a pity that one of the selectors is not stil playing. Hence it is sorry that Mi White is no longer serving.
