WELLINGTON, December 15. Dr Kidsou’s weather report and forecast are as follows: —General situation: Rather an intense depression is crossing th<* 'Dominion. An anticyclone is centred over Tasmania, and will probably move northeast wards. Forecast: Moderate to strong northeasterly winds north of Wvstport and Kaikoura; elsewhere southerly, and southerlies gradually becoming general and increasing to strohig to gale force. Seas (N.Z. waters) rough south of Cape Egmont and Castlepoint; e’.sewdiere moderate to rather rough. Tasman Sea: Strong southerly winds in the eastern Tasman Sea, with rather rough to rough seas. Weather dull and unsettled generally, with some rain in most districts, and hail in places. Temperatures are becoming cold.
