REFORM CANDIDATES
For Next Election (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, November 14. At the request of the New Zealand I olitieial Association, Mr. G. A. Troup Mayor of Wellington, -tjo-day agreed to become a candidate for Wellington North at the next General Election. He reserved to himself the right to support a party, but stated, that, if I elected, he would use every influence to bring! about, a fusion between the' United and Reform parties as against Labour. Mr. C. H. Chapman (Labotut) is 1 the. present member for Wellington l North. Mr. 11. D. Delantour will contest the Gisborne scat as a Reform candidate, at th(* next election. The present, member for Gisborne is Mr. W. D. i Lysnar, who stood as a n Independent! Reformer at last election. The Labour, candidate last ejection was Mr. Coleman (Mayor of Gisborne.) Mr Horace lan Simpson, a wellknown farmer, of Hawke’s Bay, intends contesting Napier seat as an In- j dependent Liberal at the next general, election. Mr Simpson, who has held J various public offices in past years, • has. long been known as a supporter i of the original Liberal Party. He | says that his coming candidature will j be entirely free from Party allegiance. <
