There he found nearly a dozen otlvr people who] l.'id been robbed, and presently the] prisoner was led in. The stolen objects were exhibited on the magistrate’s deck. Then came the question of indentifying the contents of a small packet very carefully tied with strong string. And j only then was it discovered that the I prisoner, taking advantage of the general preoccupation with the pai|cel, had. walked out. of the place and disappea red.
