NIGHT EXPRESSES
FOR TARANAKI To Start Next Month (Per Press Association.) II AW ERA, February 16. According to advice received by Mr TL G. Dickie, M.P., the inauguration of a night express service, to run three times weekly, between Wellington and Taranaki, may be expected next month. Information to this effect was given to the Hawera Chamber of Commerce by Mr Dickie last evening, wh *a he read a letter received from ‘‘he -Minister of Railways. The matter has now been brought + o the stage where a time table has be hi formulated, slates rhe Minister’s letIt is proposed that a night train shall leave Wellington on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 10.36 p.m... arriving at New Plymouth at 8.15 a.m. A return train will leave New Plymouth on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, at u.lO p.m., arriving »t Wellington at 6.32 a.m. The Railway Department expects to be in a position to commence runniikg these trains about the middle of March.
