E, Holland M.P., has received the following Ministerial communications relating to the Buller Electorate: HON. E. A. RANSOM’S VISIT. Front the Minister of Public Works (11/5/29); “I shall arrive in Westport from, Murchison and luangahuu Junction on Saturday afternoon, 18la. May apid will inspect Buller Gorge Railway during afternoon. 1 presume you will meet me at Inangahua Junction. 1 will advise you re definite time of arrival there later, t will spend Sunday in Westport, lowing for Greymouth -on Monday, May 20.” DUNOLLIE STATION. From the Minister of Mines, enclosing memorandum icccived from the Minister of Railways re the request of a Ruvanga deputation for a verandah for Dunollie Railway Station. The memorandum, is dated April 24, and reads: “With reference to the representations to you by • th e State Miners’ Union requesting that a verandah be provided at the Bunollie Railway Station: I desire to inform you that the matter has been looked into, but it is con sideted the circumstances do not war rant the expenditure that would be involved if the request that has been made were acceded to. 1 find that a 20-foot addition to the shelter shea at this station was completed as decently as May last, and I am formed that there is now no necessity for the men to wait outside for the train in wet weather. I regret that in the circumstnces the request foi the provision of a verandah must oe declined. * ’

WESTPGET-INANGAHUA RAILWAY. From the Minister of Public Works (7/5/29): “in answer to your enquiry of the 6th ultimo; I have to ad vise you that of the net appropriation of £BO,OOO provided iin connecvkm with the above Railway, the sum of £67,034 was expended leaving an unexpended amount at 31st, March oi £12,966. ’ ’ DETERIORATED From' the Minister of Lands (4/5/29); “I beg to enclose herewith a statement showing the number oi applications under the Deteriorated Lands Act received by the NeisuiLand Board for the BulLr anl Mo'iu eka Electorates, the number granted and refused in each electorate, ami the reason for the refusal of the up plications declined.
