MISSION STEAMER SAFE. AUCKLAND, May 1. The Melanesian. Mission received a radio from the disabled mission steamer Southern. Cross, stating that all the passengers had landed at Norfolk. There was no damage lu the or propelXo'n. ,The steamer can be moved to comjparative safety if necessary, an<d possibly by Friday, will bo able to leav?J (presumably for Auckland), with a jury Judder. A tug is not being despatched, meantime.
