AUCKI«AND R. U. MEETING. AUCKKLAND, May 1. The Auckland Rugby Union tonight decided that it was in. sympathy with the Hawke’s Bay Union’s protest against plaiying a trial match on June 3, on account of such fixture interfering with set representative games on that day. The Union also decided to inform Hawke’s Bay tint unless the New Zealand Union could put forward a< sound reason for an early tour to New South Wales the Auckland. Union would support the Canterbury Union’s motion that th e tour be postponed for one month. With reference to the New Zealand Union’s proposal that in view of the British tea|n’s tour next season all matches this season and next be played under international rules. It was decided at the irequest of several clubs to hold a special general meeting on May 9 to discuss the proposal.
