CHILD’S DEATH UNDER ANAESTHETIC. CHRISTCHURCH, April IS. Elsie Sumner, aged 6, residing at Woolston ,dil«d early this morning while under an anaesthetic at the Christchurch hospital. MAN FOUND HANGED. CHRISTCHURCH, April 18. Wiliam Gibson, of Surrey Street, Lgnwoodi ,was ‘IJounA hanging from a rafter in a shed at the rear of his house this afternoon. The d ceased was a retired farmer, and was aged 62 years.
DEAD IN OUTHOUSE. CHRISTCHURCH, April 18. Roy Arthur Simpson, aged 37 years, residing on Beuley Avenu j was found dead in an outhouse at tho back of an hotel in the City to-day. At the inquest this evening a brother of the deceased said his brother had not been in good health since the war, hut he app eared to be in his usual health on Wednesday evening. The inquest was adjourned.
