LAWN TENNIS.
OTAGO v SOUTHLAND. INVERCARGILL. March 3. The annual inter-provincial lawn tennis match, Otago v Southland, was played o» Saturday in glorious sunshine. Th e contest was a close one. but Oiago succeeded in emerging victors by 14 matches to 10. Taken all round, the tennis reached a high standard.
TO THE POINT. Have you a rupture? If you have, are you buoying yourself up in the hope that it will gradually get less, and finally disappear? Or, are you building on the assumption that one or other of the different makes of truss which you mean to try in turn will eventually effect a cure? Or again, have you promised the doctor that if the means you ar e at present trying do not “work the oracle” by April 1 you will undergo that operation which' he has prescribed? Whichever it may be of ths foregoing contingencies you may be relying upon, Mr A. W. Martin, sole controller of the Dr J. A. Sherman method of curing rupture takes the liberty of assuring you that it will certainly lead to disappointment. Mr Martin has had a wide experience of rupture, and has cured hundreds of ’sufferers who had tried all other methods before they came to him. After trusses of innumerable designs had been ineffectually tried and doctors had failed to give relief Mr Martin has cured. Neither makers nor salesmen of trusses nor the medical profession like to read such definite state-
ments as these made by Mr Martin but he has proved them over and over again, and has done so when occasion arose before a Supreme Court judge. Why continue to suffer the agonies of hernia a day longer than you need? It is your du yto yourself to your relatives, and to your country to maintain yourself in as effective a conditio nas you possibly can. In this democratic country where every man and woman is a potential unit —possessed of voting power—every individual counts. It is a citizen’s duty to the country he lives in to keep fit. Physical distress inevitably leads to mental incompetency, and in a democracy if one link is the whole chain is weak. So delay no longer, but avail yourself while you may of the services of the expert, Mr W. A. Martin, of whom it may wi hout fear of contradiction, be said: No other man in Australasia has had such a successful career in the treatment of rupture. There are, it is true, many kinds of rupture, no two cases are alike, but whatever your particular ease may be, you may rely upon it. Mr Martin ha* met with similar cases before, and has treated them successfully. Mr Martin —because no two cases are alike —insists o n personal attendance. He cannot. for his reputation’s sake, underage treatment by correspondence, or bv proxy. The appliance he uses (the Dr ,T. A. Sherman appliance) requires expert adjustment, and only the sole controller,' Mr A. W. Martin, is qualified and capable of correct adjustment. Mr Martin will visit the West Coast in due course. Exact da es will be published later. ' Permanent address: — Samson’s Building, Dowling Street, Dunedin. Send for free booklet.
