GBEYMOUTH CLUB. Tennis was in lull awing at tho Greymouth courts on {Saturday, when the ladies’ and men’s handicap doubles were played. The entries in the men’s section were small, and chief interest centred in the ladies’ matches, which were more numerous. The winners of the ladies’ handicap doubles are Misses C. Tennent and V. Larsen, and of the men’s handicap doubles Messrs F. M. Dennehy and G. F. Shallerass. Details of the results are as follows: — LADIES’ HANDICAP DOUBLES. First round: Mesdames C. Chamberlain and W. B. Hutton 18 beat Misses A. Bush and M. Bigaell (8) 50/45, Misses N. Tennent and 11. Griffen (owe 5) beat Mrs A. B. Larsen and Miss C. Brown (owe 5) 50/47, Mrs C. G. Moss and Miss M. Costello (8) beat Mesdames B. M. Davis and A. Temple (8) 50/39, Misses C. Tennent and V. Larsen (13) beat Mesdames F. A. Kitchingham and L. McGlashan (13) 50/32.

Semi-finals: Misses N. Tennent and Griffen beat Mesdames Chamberlain and Hutton 51/49, Misses C. Tennent and Larsen beat Mrs Moss and Miss Costello 50/46. Final. Misses C. Tennent and Larsen beat Miss N. Tennent and Griffen 50/42. MEN’S HANDICAP DOUBLES.

Smith 50/42. — BEEFTON <v GBEYjMOUTH. i The Greymouth Club’s A team (men) journeyed to Reefton during the weekend and played the local Club in an interesting matchy which ended in favour of Greymouth by 3 sets and 13 games. The Reefton Club provided dinner and afternoon tea, which kindness, cs wer e much appreciated by the Greymouth players. The following are. the details (Reefton players being mentioned first): — Singles: P. H. Instone lost to M. C. Smith 6/9, IT. Werry lost to A. K. Smith 8/9, O. B. A. Sharpe beat W. R. McKeehnie 9/2. Larsen (15) 50/46. N.S.W. FINALS. SYDNEY, March 3. In the State tennis championship finals, Miss Akhurst won the women’s ■ ingles, beating Miss Messurier 6/2 6/4, and the mixed doubles with Moon, beating Baker and Miss Meaney 13/11 6/1. In th e men’s singles, Crawford beat Sproule 6/4 6/3 6/3. In the men’s doubles, Crawford and Ilopman beat Clemenger (Victoria) and Moon (Queensland) 6/3 8/6 3/_6 6/2.
