WEST COAST TOURNEY. Section Play in Pairs Competition. Then West Coast Centre’s bowling tournament was continued at Hokitika and Greymouth yesterday, the weather being overcast, with rain falling at intervals during the morning.. At Hokitika play had to be postponed from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. due to showers, but the Greymouth green was not seriously affected, and the games continued without interruption. The sectional ties were completed in both centres, and the finalists of both rinks will meet in Hokitika to-day. Following are the results of play:— AT HOKITIKA. SECTION C. THIRD ROUND. FIFTH ROUND. Wilson 10, Hodgins 8. Holliday 12, Hale 10. Farr 14, Harkness 13. Whibley 11, Page 10. Whibley and Hale won four each, but in the play off Whibley (Grey) won 12-8. SECTION D. Ward 16, Mahar 13. The position of the scores left Harrison returned as one winner of the Section, with six other pairs to play off to return the other winner. The results were:— Mahar 7, McKay 3. Chatfield 10, Crooks 2. Williams 8, Chatfield 6. Ward 8, Mahar 4. Ward 0, Williams 6. Harrison and Ward (Sydenham) play in the finals at Hokitika to-day. SECTION F. Blair 21, Morgan 15. Wheatley Is, Collins 14.. Blair 20, Mealing 14. Gagliardi 22, Druery 15. Forster 20, Brebner 18 (extra head) Monk 17, Morgan 16. Blair, Main and Monk each secured four wins, and in the draw. Blair secured the bye, leaving Main and Monk to play off. The result was a win for Main by 7 to 2. Blair (Greymouth) and Main (Beckenham) therefore play in the finals at Hokitika to-day.
