The steamer* Alloway was being lowed from the Aleu tla? Islands, where she had .been dis ahledt when the towline broke. The ship vtim abandoned. It is believed thit the remnant of her crew ed,The Japanese steamer Meiyomaru, lumber-laden, was driven ashore on Aiktak Island. She is a total loss. Her crew are believed t 0 be safe.
