This week’s issue ij well up to the high standard set in past, issues, aid includes a coloured supplement of the Wellington Cup-winner. Vertigern. Racing is well represented by the interesting set of photographs of the meetings at Wellington, Takapuna and Matamata. Very bright and animated are the pages that depict the N.Z. Swimming Championships at Wellington, the Auckland Girls’ Cricket Association’s opening match, and the Auckland City Council’s employees’ annual picnic at Pino Island. The Auckland anniversary regatta is featured in a picturesque. series of the yacht racing. The double centre pages ar e artistically set out with snaps of the patrons on the lawn during the Wellington Racing Club’s summer meeting. The stage and screen sections, always a very attractive portion of the paper, have some charming photographs of favourites. The miscellaneous division covers a wide field, including Otahuhu Tennis Club, Navy League Conference, the Duchess of York, American President, ia South America, train wreck in Californian desert, mid a frontispiece of a striking snow scene. The Review is on sale at all booksellers and stationers.
