Ames Makes a Score. MELBOURNE, February 10. The English cricketers began a mateh against Ballarat yesterday, the local side batting thirteen. Bcorec.- — ENGLAND—First Innings. At one stage this bowler had three wickets for eighteen runs, off twelve overs. Ames then gave a good display, but he gave one chance off Beames whe> he was sixteen. The gate receipts amounted to £316, The weather was extremely hot.
