ELEANOR BOLLING.
TO BE LOADED AT TOP SPEED. AUCKLAND, February 8. The latest report received by Mr R. Brophy, Second-in-C'ommand of the Byrd Expedition, is that the Eleanor Bolling is approaching the New Zealand coast at top speed. “I have been in constant touch with the vessel,said Mr Brophy, “and I have issued instructions that every ounce of speed that can be got out of the ship must be obtained so that she shall reach Dunedin on February 14, instead of the following day. The Eleanor Bolling must be away again 36 hours after her arrival. During that time the vessel will load 500 tons of gear, including an aeroplane, motor car, 5000 gallons of benzine, and 4000 gallons of other oils. Every minute counts now, he said in conclusion. Mr Brophy will leave Auckland tonight or to-morrow morning for Wellington and Dunedin.
