England v. Tasmania. JARDINE SCORES 214. (Received January 14 at 11.50 p.m.) LAUNCESTON, January 14. The matcji Tasmania v. England, was continued on Launceston cricket ground in fine weather to-day. The Englishmen resumed their first innings, and gave a bright display, a feature of which was Jardine’s sparkling performance in compiling 214 in 248 minfites. He hit 26 fours. He gave chances at seven, 103, and 136. Mead compiled his first century of the tour, reaching 100 in 114 minutes. England declared with eight wickets for 482. Tasmania in the second innings lost one for 40. Scores:—
