COLD SNAP.
Forty-three Below Zero. AROUND CHICAGO. (Received January 14 at 7.50 p.m.) CHICAGO, January 13. Three persons were frozen to death to-day when the coldest wave of the season sent the local thermometer down to ten belcrw zero. The suburban towns have reported even much lower temperatures, decreasing down to 43 degrees below zero in several towns in Ontario. Much suffering was caused in the Chicago area by the suddenness of the cold and by high winds. Relief is promised for Monday.
