£lO,OOO BLAZE. CANBERRA, December 6. A Werris Creek message states that two premises were destroyed by fire, and several other shops were badly damaged. Volunteers, under the direction of the police, fought the flames with axes, buckets, etc., and checked the blaze spreading. The damage totals £lO,OOO.
