FIERCE ENCOUNTER.
On Afghan Frontier. SHINWARI ATTACK ON JELLALA BAD. (Received December 6 at 11.10 p.m.) DELHI. December 6. Rebel Shinwari tribesmen again at tacked Jellalabad, but were repulsed by the Afghan garrison after a fierce fight, in which there were several hundred casualties. The buildings previously wrecked ir ihe city by the tribesmen include the British post office and civil service quarters. Many new cars and lorries the property of the State, were burn The road from Peshawar to Jellala bad is infested with raiding gang®, and is unsafe without escorts. Afghan reinforcements are hurrying to the area for an advance against the wild tribal country.
