The bodie s were discovered in an attic, between the ceiling and chimney in Hiddleown hone , Peel Street, Ballarat An unusual smell caused investigation, and the bodies ware found fifteen feet apart, bet we i» rafters. Both were dressed with tTre exception of shoes. There was a supply of blankets and fwoi candles; large butcher’s knife, a bottle bear a label, poison, and also a condensed milk tin—beside the little girl.
