For sheer artistry in reproduction it would be difficult to surpass the current issue of the “N.Z. Sporting and Dramatic Review.” The photographs are particularly ’ attractive, featuring a coloured supplement of the beautiful screen star Barbara Kent. The centre pages are devoted to pictures of interesting events overseas including International Horse Show and Polo, Duchess of York launches Pacific. Liner, and the Prince of Wales in Egypt. Carnival Race Week is depicted in a full page picturisation of events including the N.Z. Derby, the C.J.C. Metropolitan Handicap and also the N.Z. Trotting Club’s Meeting at Addington. An artistic page is devoted to the Gisborne production of “The Arcadians”. The frontispiece is occupied by pictures of the Byrd Antarctic. Expedition. An animated series of picture of the Whangarei Racing Club’s Spring Meeting is included and there is a strong miscellaneous section comprising the King of Spain in the Scottish Highlands. Manawatu A and P Show, the First Landing at Anzac. since tin* War, and the final appearance in the Dominion of the English Tenuis Players. The “Review” is on sale at all Booksellers and Stationers.
