WOMAN’S DEATH.

AT NURSE’S HOME. A Diffident Witness. POLICE PROPOSAL FOR INDEMNITY CHARACTERISED AS PREPOSTEROUS. (Per Press Association). AUCKT AND, November 20. When the inquest into the death of Freda Helen Clark, aged 29, who was found dead at the home of Nurse Georgina Colnett, on November Ist. was resumed this afternoon, Mr Singer, who appeared for Nurse Colnett £nd others, asked that Mrs Dorie Dannefeard,. a sister of deceased, should not be asked certain The Coroner, Mr Hunt, S.M.. directed that Mrs Dannefeard should leave the Courtroom while the argument on the point was heard. A suggestion by the police, to give indemnity to witness if she would give a truthful account of what happened, was characterised by counsel as preposterous. The Coroner then adjourned the inquest until to-morrow, in order that the Crown Solicitor should take charge of the proceedings.
