FROM AUSTRALIAN LABOUR IDEALS WHICH SHOULD DETERMINE VOTES RememlsTring the past struggles and sacrifices of sturdy democrats to obtain the right to vote, electors should) ev.er cherish that right and never fail to exercise it. The power to create a Parliament carries with it the power to goVfe'rn a nation and should be used wisely after weighing the pros and cons of every issue worthy of serious consideration. Honest and *?.pable administration of progressive and just laws should be the voter’s aim. The obligation resting on all to obs "rve the laws imposes on Parliament the obligation to frame and pass laws worthy of respect and obedience and to administer them impartially to rich and poor alike. / The practical tgueSltions; m»S mediate importance on which el-ctors must pass judgment, are the development ctf our natural resources, sound finance, effective protection for our industries, employm-nt for our people, and the creation and maintenance of the highest possible standard of living for a nation’s workers. Voters at the elections should have for their ideal a state of society in which non a shall suffer waut in the midst of plenty, and all shall have opportunities for their fullest possible mot-lly, mentally, and physically
