WELLINGTON, November 5. Dr Kidson’s. evening forecast is as follows: —A deep depression is covering Neiy Zealand and the Tasman Sea. Forecast: Strong north and west winds of gale force in places fouth of New Plymouth and Castlepoint, seas rough sou h of New Plymouth and Castlepoint, and elsewhere moderate in New Zealand waters. Strong westerly winds to gales later, backing t 0 south-wester-ly in the eastern Tasman. with generally rough seas. Weather cloudy, un settled and squally generally, with rain in all Western district, and some heavy falls, but changeable with scattered showers in districts with an easterly aspect.
