MEETING OF TOWN BOARD. The usual monthly meeting of the Cobden Town xloard was held last evening. There were present: Crs W. 8. Clark (Chstiiman), M. Min; ’han, H. Wimsett, 'T. 'l| -iinent. C. I ddstrom. C. J. Miller and J. Walker. The Secretary <.f the Plunket Society wrote thanking the Board for a donation.—Received. , C. C. McArthur wrote drawing attention to th i unsatisfactory condition of Clifford Street.—Referred to Works Commitee. \\. Mason wrote requesting that* his section be re-valu d.—lt was decided to take no action. A lettr.r was received from thc Cobden Fire Brigade inviting nieuibeis of the Board to alt 1 nd a social function.—lt was <leci<l‘ul to accept same and tender thanks to the Brigade. The Secretary the Fire Briga«le wrote pointing out the desirability of securing an additioual quantity of hose. It was estimated that 300 fc’ would be sufficient to meet present requirements. Tho Prime Minister forwarded notice re procedure on Armistice Day. — Received. The Department of Internal Affairs forwarded copy of report of Commission re rating of farm lands in Borough.—Filed for refer ace. J.
