Worse Position Than Last Year. WELLINGTON, November 1. The Public Accounts for the six months ended September show that ‘ho receipts amounted to £9,183,309, and after eliminating th e items not included in the Publie Accounts for the same period last year, ther e is a decrease compared with tha 1 period of £515 618. The expenditure for the half-year totalled £10.596.979, representing an increase (after making allowances as above) of £108.242, compared with the same period of 1927.
