WILKINS LEAVES FALKLANDS. LONDON. .October 31v, Wilkins cables from Port Statulcy. under date October 30th: “We hade good-bye to civilisation when the- Hektorin ‘o-Jay sailed from Falkland Isles the last port of call, towards tine AptarcticV; scarcely charted seas. The next landing point will be Deception Island, on the northern edge of the unexplored ice continent, where we go to harbour to discharge the equipment, including aeroplanes, and move, on (foot into the wastes, in order to establish' a base probably well within the Antarctic Circle.’ All arc in splendid condition.
