PALMERSTON N„ NovcriLer 1A motor eyelist proeceiling along the Foxton Tin:-, al an early hour this morning. discovered the body of u ‘youth lying across the road, but it was ton lii'c to avoid running over him. The result was that the motor cyclist was thrown from his machine, but wa ■ unhurt. Going back, he found a youth named Jam s Sclwyn Chappell, aged 20 years, seriously injured, he having evidently been knocked down by a Classing ear or a cycle just previously. Medical aid was summoned. but Chappell died of a fractured skull. The deceased evidently had had no warning, as his hands were still in his noeV’ts. Lt is understood that his mother resides ut Wliangarei.
