BY FRENCH LINER’S AEROPLANE (Received Angus* 24 at 7.30 p.m.) PARI?|, Apgust 23. The Tie De Franca saVed two days on the eastward irans-Atlantic mail service by means’of the aeroplane she carried. This plane shot into the air at a sp ed of sixty miles an hour when 150 miles west of the Scilly Islands. Despite bad weather. the scheme worked excellently, the plane refilling a* Cherbourg, whence it proceeded to Paris. An extra charge qf twenty pence per letter is made. The scheme will be applied to othor French liners.
