Sales: Waihi 13/-, Dominion Pictures (ord.) 22/-, South British 63/-. Reported: Commercial Bank \ord.) 30/9. Bank of New Zealand 61/3, National Bank of New Zealand £7 6/-, Bank of New South Wales £5O 10/-. CALCUTTA, August 22. Tea sales: The quality showed a falling, but a better tone prevailed. Mediums declined three to six pices per pound. Broken? were a shade easier. Sweet liquoring ‘sorts continued in strong demand. Average prices: Common Pekoe Souchong, eight annas six pices to 10 annas. Clean Common Broken Pekoe Souchong 8/9 to 2/6; even Black L'af Pekoe 11/6 to 12/0. LONDON, August 22. The tallow sales were not held.
