The event attracted large crowd and a fashionable gathering. (Received August 23 at 8.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, Align-1 23. With all of the pagennfry of some olden day princess, Sigmtriaa Toil Dal Monte, the famous opera singer, WJi'i this morning married to Signor Enzodemuro Lamanto, Barrister and tenor, one. the handsome singing companion • to Toti in many operas. Both of them ar e members of the Williamson-Melba Opera Company. The marriage ceremony was at St Mery's Cathedral, the Very Reverend Dean Crowley officiating. The Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Rev Father DelfraneCsco. The weather was fine, but cloudy. A crowd of twenty thousand people stretched from the front of St Mary’s Cathedral across the road to Hyde Park. Thousands of women and girls fought desperately to get inside the Cathe-dh.-urs before the ceremony, which 5d at 11,30 city streets and the tail build ings around were thronged with excit cd Women, who waved and cheered the prima donna as she motored through in a large sedan lavishly bedecked with spring flowers, hyacinths, sweet peas, violets and carnations. No wedding has aroused mor P interest, because of its romantic associations. The music at St Mary’s Cathedral included the Bridal March. All of the music was glorious. Many of the delegates at tin foithcoming Eik’hnristic Congress were present, and they congratulated the con pl e. Th c biidal car was mobbed after leaving the Cathedral, as it forced its way through a seething mass, mostly of women, who struggled to obtain souvenirs. In a few minutes every vestige of the floral decorations and of the ribbons on the car had disappeared or had been torn to shreds. Many women fell in front of the following cars. Fortunately no accident occuired.
